Electric Headrests
Hi, picked up my 1988 highline a couple of days ago. tested the headrests they all worked fine. went to adjust the drivers yesterday, and the switch came off in my hand, no problem i just pushed it back on. when i went to adjust it again, nothing happened. i can hear the motor going in the seat but no movement. can you help?

I think the timing of when it quit is just a coincidence.
This is a good write-up -- works like a charm -- and I've used it on an E28 and an E23. All you need is a standard coat hanger, some basic tools, and an hour of your time.
