Floor mat set.

Post by KNude »

Hi,

I'm looking for the code of the original floor mat set for my '88 635 CSi (automatic), color anthrazit. RealOEM doesn't give any codes with the VIN number of my car.

51471914406 is an anthrazit floor mat set, but several sources say that it only applies to cars made from 09/1982 up to 09/1985.
Is this true? Has the interior changed so much in 1985 that the floor mats aren't the same? If so, does anyone know the correct code for the mats to my car?

Thanks!

Try 82111466910. There's Google listing all over the internet. Just bought a set last year for my 88 ///M.

OEM spec as far as I can determine. Can others confirm Anthracite floor mats with a Lotus Weiss interior?

My dad's 87 M6 with Lotus White interior has matching lotus mats. They are probably NLA as they likely got dirty very quickly.

Here's an interior picture from when I bought the car in 2011. The carpeting in my car appears to be much closer in color to the leather than in the photo above, but that could just be lighting? The mats that came with the car did not match even close. Did a little research and found somewhere, someone suggesting Anthracite. So that's what I picked. Maybe not perfect, but works for me.

I'm reviving this thread to add an update. The part number listed above is no longer available from any source I tried. Looks like OEM floor mat sets are no longer available at all anymore.

Does anyone know of a current production, close match for the grey mats in my 87? I figure that if I can find something close, but bigger, then I can cut it down and have a local upholstery shop re-bind the edges.

So nobody has a line on replacement mats? :-?

Dangit! :(

Guess I'll have to look into Lloyds or Cocomat options.

Is there a group opinion on these mats?

Those are out of a 2 series. The M performance label makes sense with my car and the edging is bound. They are not cheap, but finding anything even close to what came OEM is expensive. These look like they are bigger than what I have and with bound edges, they could easily be cut down to size and the binding re-stitched.

I ordered a set from these guys and was very pleased. They have the e24 pattern AND they have the ///M logo to stitch in if requested.

DUDE!

THOSE MATS LOOK AWESOME! =D>

I tried calling Coverking and got disconnected once, then ended up in someone's voice mail. I decided to just send and email and ask if I can still get them with an //M logo. We'll see what they say.

Jose - when I ordered my matts the first set were wider than the footwell. They claimed the wider matts were from an E24 Euro template. Not sure I believed that, but they said they had another E24 template that was more narrow. The 2nd pair fit perfect. FYI

Though this post is a year past due, I thought I'd update that Coverking can not do logo's on their mats anylonger. I've been asking for the same that Markh received, but no luck. If they change their mind, I'll update further.

Send a PM to Todd Howerton (alpinacsi). I think he owns a mat company.

Am in the market for mats too... Was thinking of going with BavAuto (their vendor appears to be Lloyd Mats in Northridge CA). I ordered samples, received yesterday, that look thick. Not 100% convinced on colors though. Any recommendation?

My car's interior is anthracite so the choice is easy. But I've also had two cars with Pearl Beige (E30 325e and M3) and also went with the anthracite mats. The contrast looks good and they don't show the dirt.
