Restore Leather Seats Advice

Post by Viktor D. »

I'm looking to buy these black manual sport seats :-" to replace my ugly blue cloth comforts.

However, I have no experience in saving or restoring leather seats.

I would get the drivers seat bolster repaired and try to clean the rest of the seats nicely.
Could the cracks become less visible?
Is the leather saveable and is it possible to look fresh again?

Thanks for any input!

I recommend you go with the Rejuvenator from Leatherique. Here is a link when I did my seats. http://house-calls.us/BMWSeats.html When you buy the supplies from
http://www.leatherique.com/, they guide you through the process. When I bought mine, they were concerned I did not order enough and they sent me more at no extra cost!

Wow, what a transformation that is!

Also thanks for the links! :D

Personally, I like the aged patina on those seats! Impossible to get that any other way and it's very nice and even. Not to mention the fronts still have the padded look and aren't shrunk tight and flat like most. Have the tears fixed and Leatherique them as well as you can and use 'em. You going to put them in that Mini?

Yes, I would love to keep the leather and it's patina as well, but that one bolster definitely needed a repair.

And No, I was not going to put them in that mini
The pics are taken by the seller, I bid on them on ebay, however, the bids continued far above what I was willing to pay for them.

A real shame, as these would look very nice in my 635!
The search for a nice pair of leather sport seats continues ...
