M635CSi Steering Wheels and Shifter

Post by gte619n »

Hey Fellas,

I know I've got an incorrect steering wheel in my M635CSi and I'm ~pretty sure I've got the wrong shift knob. I was wondering which one is the correct one for my car? Does anyone have experience dealing with the Eastern European guys on eBay? Are these the correct parts?

Steering Wheel - Shift Knob

Thanks for any tips!

That steering wheel probably won't work, because your car very likely needs a coarse spline wheel. They changed in late '85 to the fine spline. Coarse are harder to find, but MSGGrunt recently posted he had a coarse wheel he wanted to get rid of because it doesn't fit his later car, so I'd shoot him a message. That shift knob will fit fine, and is correct unless you have the dogleg box with first gear outside of the H part of the pattern.

I don't think a resident of The Netherlands would take kindly to being called an Eastern European

I do have the harder to come by course spline version.

I'd let it go for $250.00. Its in great condition and all original.

Email me at [email protected] if interested.

Well shoot, by the time I checked back into this thread I had already purchased a coarse wheel from eBay. I paid MUCH more than you're asking so what a miss!
