Hello - I am working on my friend's 1983 model that was recently acquired.
The original antenna was completely buggered, so I ordered a brand new Hirschmann replacement unit.
Having some issues with the power going to the unit. The harness out of the car has a red and white wired plug. From my reading of the schematic, red should always be hot, and the white switched on hot with the head unit. Factory head unit.
I am not getting any power on the red, but will get the 12v on the white with the head unit on.
Fuse 28 is fine, and the cigar lighter on the same circuit works.
What am I missing? Only thing I can think of is an issue at the accessory connector (C302) that allows the lighter to have power, and the antenna nothing.
Any insight appreciated.
Regards,
Dale

Re: Antenna Wiring
Solved. Wire was cut near the connector under the dash. Nothing is easy!
