Control Symbol Right

Post by gte619n »

Hey guys,

My M635CSi was originally delivered to the german market, as all my controls are in german. The only thing that isn't in german is the "Control Symbol Right" in my gauge cluster, have english words there. I was wondering if this was english in all markets or if this was swapped when the car was shipped over? If there are other languages available, I was wondering if anyone knew where I could source one. RealOEM only shows a single part number, 62111376709.

It's #8 in the figure below:

The ones in my car (also an original German-delivery car) are all symbols, rather than words. At some point during Federalization the gauge cluster was changed, so the car has a US speedo/odo, as well a the fuel gauge and economy gauge. I have since sourced a Euro 535i cluster, and I'll switch over the gauges to restore the cluster properly.

All of the UK cars I've come across have had symbols, too.

Man those symbols look better. Any idea if that's an insert that can be ordered? RealOEM doesn't really show anything other than words.

Soon, although I won't commit to any specific date, I'll have an extra symbol strip, after I install those gauges from that E28 cluster I have. They're yours at that point, and I'll be happy to drop them in the mail to you. Again, no promises on when, but PM me your address so I don't forget. Is your OBC German or English?
