Attached is a photo of two shift knobs. The one on the left came from my car and I am looking to replace it as the leather is worn and it does not attach well to the shifter (comes loose just when I forget and try to shift quickly). That shifter has been on the car since I bought it about 20 years ago. The shifter on the right, was advertised as the correct shifter for my car, original part with leather re-done. I know the emblem is wrong, but I am pretty sure I can get the correct round M emblem. Per real oem the original part is no longer available.
My question is - Does anyone know which one is correct? If either is correct, I am fine with the new shorter one.
