Recovered

Post by Tommys 89 635 »

With age and use, I finally had the shifter and steering wheel (added extra padding) recovered (back in Feb).

Looks great Tommy

I saw these in person folks, very nice work and attention to detail =D>

Tommy, you might want to consider where you had these done, turnaround time and maybe the cost, if you feel like diverging [-o<

Oh, and now you can drive her again, yay #-o

Thanks Bob. Yes I need to take her out for a drive, maybe sometime I'll have to swing by your place.

Chris Scow (located in Braunfels, Texas) did the work. Mine took about a week and a half as he was working on another project which I didn't think it was too bad, I forget the actual cost but it was 350.00 to 400.00 with overnighting the parts and back.

Best to contact him first to discuss what you'd like etc and he will give you a price for the work.
You can even have perforated leather at a small additional cost.

I need to get my e-brake handle done next which I should have done at the same time.

Super nice guy.

Here's his website: http://www.leatherwheels.com/index.htm

BTW: Thanks Bert for sharing his info.

Agreed, it looks good, the shifter especially so. The slighter thickness suits with the leather padded shifter console - on mine that console piece is just solid plastic.

Please show us the handbrake once that's done too.

Appears they have used the same guy, same glowing reviews as well =D>

Hmm, got me thinking, as my 27 year old Momo Monte Carlo could use a little help [-o<
