Convert power sport seats to manual

Post by 2011z4 »

Has anyone converted their powered sport seats to manual operation? Is there a way to do this and does anyone here have tips/parts required to do it? I don't want to fiddle with getting my sport seats to work right now (keep blowing a fuse) and just want them functional. Thanks for any help you can provide or point me in the right direction here on the forums or on the web.

Without changing the base/mechanism, there's no way to get that to work. And changing the mechanism to manual on a power seat would be a real challenge. The way the drives are connected compared to the manual latches are so different it will be darn near impossible. Find a set of manual seats complete and swap them.

Or maybe that's what you meant.... :-k

As Ken said, manual seats have almost all the adjustments in the seat base except for the "lean" in the seat back. Therefore, find a set of manual sport seats.
