Where can I get seat covers?

Post by 69BMW2002NH »

These are my seats. Does anyone know where I can get seat covers? These are factory option Recaros and not BMW sport seats

I found this website, but still don't know which covers to order. This company has great feedback on other forums.

Thank you,

Seems too nice to cover them up.

There is an eBay vendor zoomzoomzoom-ing that make and sells leather covers. I've never bought from him, so I can't say anything about quality.

Those are generic Recarro covers and for that money have to be crap. You can't even buy a quality hide for that money

Ken Gahh in CA does quality work . I had my seats done locally in Phoenix but GAHH did my headliner and it was perfect. If you google AARDVARK Racing, Dave specializes in Recarro Restoration. His work is absolutely impeccable. I don't know if he will sell just the covers. He is the first guy I would shoot for. Recarros also have a unique pleat pattern. If you look at yours you will see they have 7 pleats while the BMW sport sets only have 5. E30 sport seats only have 3. You have to be very aware of this. If you'd like, call me at 480 650 7167 after 4 your time and I will tell you how to get a hold of Dave at Aardvark GAHH you can google .Again, their work is superior as well, but Dave is the guy. Oh, I have the proper Recarro decals for the seat rails. $10

I recently had a good experience with World Upholstery. I ended up sending them my old seat covers so they would get the pleats right - I guess they didn't have the pattern for my car when they started to make them.

Those are way too nice and can be revived! Check into http://www.leatherique.com/
I have done my seats with that product. By far cheaper than getting new seat covers even though they're a steal.

Looking at the web site, they state the covers are genuine hide - and let's face it, they are not expensive. Since they offer to send a swatch, what's there to lose? If you have a high mileage DD which needs new covers, these look like a cheap option.

I bought all new leather covers from the eBay vendor zoomzoomzoom-ing mentioned above. They are amazing and I highly recommend them. Great seller to work with and reasonable on the price comparing other options out there. If you send a swatch, send one from under the seat since that won't have the sun fading like the rest of the seat. Here is a pic of mine that are Taurus Rot. Good luck!

https://www.lseat.com/categories/genuin ... ecaro.html made me an offer after I asked if they also have the comfort seat covers. Not that I need any but thought about asking. They do not have any but offered me 50% off if I send them my old one so they can make a pattern. Like I said, I only have a lose seem that needs to be fixed. Have at it guys, you're welcome!

I looked at the LS site, and that is REALLY good pricing for leather seat covers. I might need to order a set for the 320IS Recaro's I plan to install in my 2002.
