Cleaning up aluminum B pillar trim

Post by daz635 »

Has anyone had success in cleaning and polishing the aluminium B Pillar Trim. I have tried multiple cleaners and polishes but the milky marks still remain on mine.

Can anyone tell me if they are anodised aluminium the same as the window trim?

If this is the case then the anodising will need to be stripped off before the stains can be removed I believe.

Any ideas would be helpful, just saw the price of new pieces

If Autosol doesn't work then you'd have to get it re chrome affect anodised...which I guess would be pretty expensive. I've had to do a lot of chrome retrieval on my car - you can't do too much to the anodised layer otherwise you will go through it - polished aluminium looks fine but it's not quite the same colour as anodised chrome effect. Autosol IMHO is the best product.
