I went all "Lenny" trying to adjust the heat and broke the only remaining metal tab under one of the three slider knobs. Anyone have any advice on how to fix?
Also, I noticed that several mounting screws are missing from the various dash panels. Anyone know where I can get these screws? Are they standard screws from the hardware store?

Being so thin repair of the slider tab may not be possible
Best option would be to replace the broken operating lever unit
Part number is 64111369615
They are only around $40.00 to buy

Re: broken tab on slider
I had that exact same thing. Glued it and it is still holding.
But as I now see this part is so cheap, I will replace it as well.
Thanks.

The individual slider lever mechanisms are the same in the e28 (some years, anyway), even though the panel itself is different. The e28 part is easier to find.
