Driver's (left) window not working

Post by ekimp »

A continuation of my original post...

Car in question is an E12 based '82 Euro 635CSi- so E12 toggle window switches as opposed to individual buttons.

I was planning on changing out the motor on my driver's window but it occured to me that the motor itself isn't even making any noise at all. I swapped with a working switch, still nothing. Where should I check next? Can I confirm the motor still needs to be replaced maybe due to a bad solenoid? Or are there fuses I should check as well?

Thanks again.

Trace the wiring back. You can manually wind the window up and down with the tools in the toolkit.

Good to know- which tools in the tool kit? Want to make sure I have them.
