Speaker Fader

Post by tmoretta »

The speaker fader switch on my M6 is failing. Can I pry it out of front of dash, or do I need to get access from behind?

Spray some contact cleaner into the switch before you remove it. Rotate several times and spray again. They're usually just gunked up inside and can be easily revived. Good luck

Yes, I have tried cleaning to no avail. I have ordered a replacement and I will prob. drill out the old switch after I receive the new and see how it is made. I have tried to carefully pry out the switch, and, since I do not want to mess up the dash, I will hold off on further efforts til I get the new switch.
