I am working om my 1980 euro 635 CSIA and the electric sun roof or sliding roof is not working, the wind shield was al ready out so I removed the front head liner and took the motor out: the back part of the motor was missing!!!!

Now I am looking for a replacement motor and I find a lot of motors looking the same but they come out of E23, E28 and E30.
Can I use an E28 schiebedach motor (Webasto with gears) to replace mine?

I am making an educated guess but no. Webasto is a totally different roof setup. Check your messages. I sent you a link to an early chassis wiring schematic. See if it came through

I may have a spare E12 motor. Can you send me a photo of your broken one?
