Throttle (Gas) pedal removal

Post by Boggie » Fri Oct 18, 2019 8:36 pm

Hi all,

Can anyone help describe how the throttle pedal is removed from the E24 please? I need to lift my carpet to work on the floor but cannot figure out how to get the pedal out.

Thanks,
Ian

Just had the same problem week ago; you have to push, compress carpet down a bit and will find two slots on the metal female bracket.
They are facing forward, so best to use mirror and flashlight.
Push screwdriver in to the slots and you will release plastic tabs that hold pedal in the bracket.
Now, pedal will just pull up from the slot.
This was on 85 car....

Thanks! Mine is an '85 RHD model, so I imagine the same fitting.. Really appreciate the help.
