Ok so after trying to remove this momo shift knob for the better part of a year it's now ripping apart.
I've been tugging on this thing off n on for over a year to replace the leather n now the OBC bar. The leather is separating/shredding of the metal . Any more tugging n it's going to be in two pieces.
There's no set screw which I though might be an issue but nope just stuck .
Any ideas ?

Re: Shift knob
REALLY! I did not know that. Thx,anxious to check that out.
For those threaded knobs then did the bar have to be swapped out?
Normal shift bar has just the slot on top to push down knob and wedge the clip inside the knob onto bar as far as I knew.
Keep you posted as I won't be back at warehouse for bit.
TIA

Re: Shift knob
Paul, on the underside of my Momo shift knob is a threaded collar. Not sure if yours has this, but if yes, try and unthread it, which would reveal the set screws that secure it in place on the shifter
Maybe post a photo
I can do the same

Turns out there is a set screw which is NOT visible . You have to unscrew the base to reveal that set screw! Who knew? I was yanking on that thing for so long
Now onto that new garagistic led OBC light, cig lighter repair,HVAC lighting, There has to be a bulb back there,my HVAC is co pletely dark, new leather boot and OE knob as well as clean things up upon reinstall .

Re: Shift knob
Pablo, you would have known if you installed it originally
Presuming that it came on the car as purchased
That's a nice looking shift knob, I really like the Motorsport striping

How true if you didnt install you'd never know n yes came with car upon purchase.
I like it too n feels more Natural shifting than OE But its too late now ,take a doable repair for reuse plus already purchased OE replacement.
