Post by mbourland »

I saw on another board that the E30 guys are tucking the aluminum bumpers on their cars.....
Can this be done on my 84 633CSi? If so what is the best way to go about it. I anyone has done it please post pics......
Thanks
Matt

Ah... this is for the US-spec "Federal" bumpers. Suddenly I understand. Also known as "Park Benches".

However, I think the front "park bench" is useful since that nose cone is very vulnerable to small parking knocks....

ya thats true but you could move the bumper back like 2 or 3 inches just to get the nose and the bumper at the same length

Probably would be better to have the bumper just further out from the nose. If they're in the same vertical plane, then the nose cone would not benefit from the bulk of the "park bench"
