Hello, I searched but did not find a definitive answer on this.
I have seen pictures of front and rear "M" badges with and with the "6" for both.
Which is correct or was it year and/or production version dependent?
I have an 88 (5514: North American-spec with catalyst) with a faded "M6" rear and a missing front so trying to order the right parts for an upcoming paint job.
realoem lists, what seems, all combinations with no year/production date designations to each type of badge.
Any insight would be great and thank you.

Your car would have had M6 shown front and back.
Euro M635's had just simply M for both.
Euro M635's had just simply M for both.

This brings to mind a question which my ex-press (C780 MDP) M635CSi has posed me.
I always thought that the Euro cars had only the "M" badge. However, this car has "M6" badges (see photos). I always assumed that a PO had added them - but that's not the thing you do with such a car, is it? In any case, I would not have thought that these badges would be easy to acquire in England?
I'm waiting for Soperman to post some articles regarding my car back in the day which, I hope, will resolve the question once and for all - as long as there are some photographs at the correct angles!

Just looked at my copy of that report. The car only had "M" badges front and rear when it was road tested.Pod wrote: I always thought that the Euro cars had only the "M" badge. However, this car has "M6" badges (see photos).
Order them from dealers.Pod wrote: In any case, I would not have thought that these badges would be easy to acquire in England?
