Euro Front Bumper Rubber

Post by disqord »

The front of my bumper is falling apart. What adhesive is recommended to reattach it?

My guess is there should be bolts that hold it to the bumper. They have probably rotted out.

If they did rot, you can replace them with SS versions and then use polyurethane epoxy to put everything back together. Read a DIY of a Porsche whale tail repair that way. Turned out awesome.

Thanks Jose, it does appear the bolts have rotted and fused themselves to the bumper. Looks like in the meantime I'll be reading some threads on Pelican Parts, as there's a few of them. Duct tape will have to do for now.

Thankfully I found a small bungie cord that used to hold my car cover in my trunk

Gonna get the epoxy tomorrow and fix it up.

I'm glad you didn't have to sell it!

That's why I tend to park way away from where people tend to park.
Even then, I've seen a clump of cars wrapped around me; like some Bimmer dust will rub off or something!
