rear screen film/Tint

Post by 635csiSyd »

Just had my car repainted screens out etc , rear screen had always had what looked like a very bad tint job on it so I decided whilst it was out I would remove all the lifting wrinkled tint as I am scraping it off I noticed that the "tint" seems to have the rear screen demister lines in it, am I mad ? I can still see the wires embeded in the glass but it almost seems that the film is a cover for the demister filaments anyone else seen the same issue.
thanks

sounds to me like the adhesive of the tint has lifted the material that the defrost is based on!
your defrost may still work.....but with less effectiveness!
don't like my rear tint color, but I'm afraid to remove mine for this reason!
