L/H Rear 51371871737 (You cannot get just the rubber seal. It comes complete with the alloy channel).
R/H Rear 51371871738 (Same as above).
Part B L/H # 51211873461 (Alloy channel and seal).
Part B R/H # 51211873462 -----------"-------------
I think Part C is the same as Part A but I can't find it on the breakdown!
Please note that the rubber seal sections that are crimped into the alloy channels have a different x-section front and rear. I have tried sourcing these sections throughout the UK with no success. Somewhere in Germany there is a place that has hundreds of metres of the seals!!
They are ALWAYS rustier than you thought!!!!!!

A good friend of mine in the UK has just had some specialist door seals made up for him for an E26/1 M1. The seals were unavailable from BMW so he found a company that would make them up; he is very particular but very pleased with the results.
The company has asked if he needed any other seals doing so if we could get some samples of just the rubber bits from the window seals to him we might get some made up?
Anyone got some old front and rear bits they wouldn't mind slicing a section of rubber from?

Give us a ring when you get a chance Ron and will get the samples sent away.

I was speaking to Ron about this subject just recently.
I came across this thread about the door seal availability .
http://forum.6ercoupe.de/index.php?id=125840
In it it is suggested that the door seal can be got here .

And to save you spending a weekend trying to find 104C .....

If anyone has an original section and could compare dimensions then we may be closer to finding the holy grail.

I can cut some off a yard car if Ron doesn't come up with any. Unfortunately the pair I have and the ones on the cars are in good shape so I can't cut any off of mine.

Years ago I had 40 or 50 sets of those seals made as they directly will replace the originals. Here is where it gets interesting. The back side of the rubber that rubs against the window is flocked so the window won’t get scratched. Mine were, and very expensive to make. However I was still able to sell them for 1/2 of what it would cost from BMW that included the chrome moulding. I sold all I could get at $175 the pair versus BMW at over $500 the pair. BMW at one point did drop it’s price on the molding and seal. So If someone is going to have these made, deal with the flocking issue. An extruded piece of rubber is not expensive to produce once the die is made. A proper seal of this type is. Maybe prices are less in the UK?? I should add that finding someone who will do minimal amounts at a reasonable cost is difficult.
If you guys have a guy willing to do this, how about getting the expensive seals that go around the door opening made? That would be a high demand item if you can get a good bit under BMW’s price

Re:
Great find has anybody actually used these seals as replacement I've just placed an order but noticed it has a metal strip in it in the description, I'm happy to get it and give it a go to see if it works

104C above is nowhere near the dimensions of the OEM seals. I'll get some samples sent off to the German site and see what they come up with.

I've just found this site in Australia. Is there any OZ member able to go and check whether they have the correct profile seals for the window scrapers?

Re: Help with Part Number Very Thin Seals
I've had a reply from the German site and unfortunately they have nothing that is close to our seals.
The hunt continues and I'm still hoping that the Australian site might have something.
Any joy yet Oz?
