Door removal

Post by Finally6 »

Okay the bolts that hold our door hinges on beloved sixes are held in place with some very large phillips head bolts. I don't have a screw driver head that large, any recommendations for removal??

Well, first you need to get the right bit and use an impact driver (the kind you work with a hammer) to break it loose.

Second, mark at least two spots on each bracket (90 degrees apart) so that you can line things back up correctly when you re-mount the door.

I keep forgetting about that trick, Bert. I might need to try that out when I have the M6 repainted down the road.
