HID Projector Retrofit

These came with my M6 in a box of extras. Bosch projectors with all the HID bulbs and wiring. Worth it to try and install or just stick with my AutoPal Hella knock off conversion?

Haven't ever tried a set of those, but I believe they use H1 halogen bulbs, not HIDs. If they're just low beams, rather than low/high like the H4 lights you have, there is a simple modification needed in the fuse box to keep the low beams on with the highs. I think they're worth a try. Do you have a pic of the back of the light?

EDIT: Thinking about those more, I'm almost sure those are the late E30 lights. Not sure they'll fit the E24 buckets.

Pictures of the backs as requested. They do take and H1 bulb. Clearly too deep to fit in the E24 buckets.

Yes, those are the E30 lights. Tried them back in '89 when I had my M3, and put the Hella's back in almost immediately.

Yeah, instead of trying to use these I retrofit my Hella knockoffs (Autopal) Still a work in progress but should be rapped up soon.
