I have 1988 Reg/ 87 build highline I rescued after standing for many years now working and with a fresh MOT last job is the sunroof and rear windows don't work via switching ( windows are fine from direct power supply ) , have changed relays and fuses tried spare switch's no joy ??
My question is are the windows and sunroof linked (via a relay or fuse? that BMW have hidden) or is this two separate issues ? any help guidance gratefully received
I recall that the resettable breaker on the dash controls power to all of them. If it's a highline, then you should have two, rectangular breakers across the bottom of the center console, just below the radio. Is one of them showing a red stripe around the edge? That means it's tripped. If not, push them to cycle a manual reset.
