Early Euro Stripes stickers or paint?

Post by panthercity »

I've seen the factory stripe kit sold as decals and assumed the original factor used decals as well. Were the original factory stripes painted on or decals?

The strips on the picture above are painted on. I'm just wondering if they came that way from the factory or where part of a more recent paint job.

They come on a roll from BMW and are OEM. If yours are painted on they must have been part of a recent paint job.

Not to jump another's thread, but I have euro stripes that I make to order as original. The answer is they were not painted on.
