Side trim issue

Post by Ronnie Wilson »

Hi guys

Have ordered a new chrome side trim in between the drivers door and rear wheel arch due to the one on the car being slightly damaged.
Does anyone know what the retaining clip part number is for the one nearest to the rear wheel arch, are they all the same. Mine is missing. Have looked at real oem and it list various types but doesn't tell you where they fit.
Also what is the procedure for removing the trim and clips. Due to the clip missing next to the rear wheel arch ican slide the damage trim off towards the drivers door.

#5 should be already be attached to the trim strip and you will need #s 9 & 10 to fit it to the car.

Any problems, give me a call.
They are ALWAYS rustier than you thought!!!!!!

Thanks Ron.

I Thought that number 5 clamp would come with the strip but it doesn't but is still available from Bmw.
To get the trim on would you push it on until it clips on or would i need to remove the middle clip and the end clip next to the opening edge of the drivers door then fit to the car.

Thanks
