HI Guys
Does anyone know where i can get a set of good quality chrome exhaust tips. The original part number is 82119413968 but now not available from Bmw. looking on ebay the only type available are from the states by a company called Ansa. The shipping costs are just as much as the exhaust tips so not worth buying.
Would like to find a set that are as close to original as possible for a 46mm dia pipe and not more than 100mm long with the tips rolled back.
Thanks. [-o< ](*,)

Hey Ronnie, might want to check with Kos, he's in the UK as well :D

I sent him one 46 mm chrome exhaust tip, but I never heard if he used it or not :-k

I realize it's only one, but it's a start [-o<

Have you seen this company's offerings?

This one looks like it would work (medium-size), and look somewhat OEM:

Hi
Thanks for the offer but i ended up going to a custom exhaust builder and asking them can they reproduce the ones available from Bmw which they did in polished stainless steel for £20. Sorted.
Thanks.

Ronnie, I'd like to see pics of those tips. Nothing like making an NLA part yourself. I've been looking for the shorter version that came on series 1 cars. Also 46 mm. The originals are NLA but ANSA makes these:

Hi zinncoupe.
This is the picture of the exhaust tips on my exhaust. I couldn't wait to fit them on to see what they would look like. I'm pleased with the result.

Hi wattsmonkey

Thanks, everything under the car has been removed renewed, replaced, cleaned, powder coated or plated.
Next is to remove the front suspension and do the same.

Thx for the pic. Those look great. Thats certainly better than paying crazy shipping costs. You should post some more pics of your work, everything does look very nice a clean and new in the background.

I am just about to install a new BMW original exhaust system and was disappointed to find the trims were NLA. Any chance you can supply the contact details of the ones you had custom made?

Hi John

Went to a performance exhaust builder over on the wirral. Not sure of the name but I'm sure if you google one around south wales you should find one.
When i asked them could they make the tips to fit over a 46mm dia pipe they said thats an odd size so would try and expand some stainless steel tube on their machine to suit, Which they managed to do.
As yo can see in my picture of my tips there are a couple of rings on them. Thats due to them trying a couple of times to expand the tubes so that I could knock them onto the back box. All that for £20, not bad.
They did say that they would make them again without the ring as they now know the setting on the machine, but i said no that's fine.
Looking at the drawing on real oem I determined that the originals must have been around 100mm long and have the ends flared outwards. Which is how i had mine made.

Thanks

This is an old topic, I know, sorry to open it again.
But I thought this was important information related to this topic.
BMW has restarted the production of these tail pipe tips.
I just picked up 2 from my local BMW dealer.
