My windscreen has some delamination in each lower corner - not major but it lets the car down (or will once I've finished it). I plan to replace the screen because of this - I can get a new one delivered for £200 as long as I buy within the next 2 days. Does anyone in the UK know if it's worth talking to my insurers about this - would this be covered? Because of the recent snow it's virtually impossible to get through at the moment - otherwise I'd ask them.
Many thanks!

Re: Windscreen delamination
Most policies have windscreen cover. About £75.00 excess charge.
They are ALWAYS rustier than you thought!!!!!!

Re: Windscreen delamination
Thanks the reply Ron - is the snow melting yet where you are?
I got through to my insurance and the deal for my policy is that delamination is not covered. They put me through to Auto Windscreens who can supply and fit for £525 - which isn't too bad. None the less, I think I'll order a screen now and get someone else to fit it - I know someone who's good with classic cars windows and I think they'll be cheaper too.
As for new chrome strips...that'll cost the same again!
