Door bottom seal channel repair

Post by randall977 »

Has anyone repaired the seal channel on the doors? Is there a pre made section available on the web that can be easily adapted?

I'm surprised no one makes these as so many are rusty - also rear outer sills.

+1 What you need is a replacement door. Repair cost on your door is expensive versus repainting or fitting a door in good condition to begin with. I have been there and done the repair. If I had known what I was getting my self in for, I would have replaced the door. I did go to a sheet metal shop and have new channels made, but none the less I should have gone replacement. I repaired the rust in my front fenders as well and again learned the hard way it would have been better to just have replaced them
