OEM GLASS

Post by ZGR8WYT »

Does anyone remember an excellent posting from a few years back about Sigla and Delodur glass codes that gave a very comprehensive history? I have an 81 euro 635 that I'm parting out with particularly good glass that I will sell but wanted to be more informed on what I have. I will post what parts I have on the For Sale forum once I figure out how to take pictures. In the mean time if you have any links to the OEM GLASS post or have any specific needs, let me know. Thanks.

I see you have a 1959 A/H Mk.1. I had a 1961 Mk.1 when I was in Aden (now part of S.Yemen).It was certainly a "bird puller" and it was where I met my first wife.

There were only about 60 miles of road but I had some great times with the car. I used to do hill climbs and a fair bit of sand racing.

Unfortunately, the Arab/Israeli war of 1967 shut the Suez Canal, so I was unable to get it shipped home and had to leave it there along with an early 100/4.

I've had mine since 95. 3rd owner CA car with 33K original miles. I have some of the documents from the original owner who said he personally knew Donald Healey! Maybe Donald even delivered it....nahhh. Bibb I know how you feel about leaving good cars behind. I had to leave a TR6 in Washington DC and a MGB in Hawaii. Just cost too much to ship! Do you think anyone would be interested in my old glass from an 81 Euro 635? I think it is probably green tinted since it doesn't say bronze. I have to get the parts car out of my side yard to make way for some house remodel.
