Hi guys,
I have 1982 633CSi (E12 based) with US-style bumpers. I recently purchased the following valance (see below pic).
I found a body shop which will restore and install it (they will make custom brackets). The only missing part is fog lights. I found these on ECS tuning website: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-uro-parts/f ... 369335~uro
Any idea if these fog lights will fit my valance? Note: I am not planning to connect them right away; this will be another project down the line.
Thanks in advance.

Also, I would really appreciate if someone can help me identify the valance that I have (US vs Euro, model years, etc)? Thanks in advance.

Re: Front valance and fog lights fitment
Fanatic, don't think those fog lamps from ECS are gonna work
What you have is a US version that was used prior to the world bumper update in '88
That would be model years '85 through '87, although I have one from an '87 and it has openings or cutouts in the horizontal slats, presumed for airflow towards an oil cooler, which of course I don't have
The correct housing for these lamps will have 3 sorta wingnut looking fasteners on the corners, which is how they mount into the air dam and adjust position
IIRC, these are NLA and will be difficult to find, new
Might try Dan Stern lighting or Susquehanna motorsports, they also have quite the array of lighting options
Still, nice find

Thanks GRNSHRK. I will reach out to Dan Stern lighting and Susquehanna motorsports to see if they have the fog lamps that would match my air dam.GRNSHRK wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2019 4:22 pm Fanatic, don't think those fog lamps from ECS are gonna work

Re: Front valance and fog lights fitment
Just reaching out with a possible option.
I have an 86 US air dam I'd like to sell. It's been on the car for the almost 32 years I've owned it.
I'm converting to world bumpers so it's for sale. Over the years it's only been painted, never repair work
done on this air dam. The cracking paint happened when the flatbed pulled the car up and the dam bottomed out.
Original lights and brackets and temp sensor, I'm looking to get $675. I'm in Rockland County for an easy pickup.
REALOEM shows 82 & 86 with the same air dam part #, the drawing for the 86 is totally wrong.

Here's a posting for a Hella fog for a Saab but the mounting tabs look correct (or at least usable) for BMW spoiler. I'd be surprised if Hella made different versions.
