Anyone have any experience with ceramic coatings, similar to this: https://ceramic-pro.co.nz/ceramic-pro-wheel-caliper/

Thinking of maybe applying to BBS split rims to avoid the PIA regular polishing, but a little unsure. Looking for some endorsement, reassurance from other who have been there before me. Is it a fad or the real deal ? Am awaiting further info / endorsements. Cost - 340 local $$ for 4 rims - they don't sell the DIY stuff as their website claims.

I've used Feynlab ceramic coating on both a Porsche and Mercedes. Paint rather than wheels.

Really good shine, water roll's off and as the cars live undercover with little need for washing it's lasted a long time (3 years) so far.

I used Nanolex SiShield ceramic coating on a set of matte black wheels on my Land Rover. Four months and the wheels clean off easily with just soap and water. Cost about $60 USD. Prepping the wheels is most of the work. I would DIY the wheels.

Ceramic coating is not a fad.
