Help with part identification

Post by jonty72 »

Hi,

I am seeking a bit of help in identifying two parts for my 1986 RHD 635 Auto.

The first part is a plastic window guide held on by 4 screws to the door pillar that the rubber window guide part# 51361886969(L) or 51361886970 (R) is adjacent to (the rubber guides the rear window against the B pillar).

In the attached Bentley manual I have circled the part which the manual describes as the window guide on the door pillar. NB I have a new rubber window guide it is the plastic "window guide" I am looking for a part number.

Also attached is a photo of the part with the relevant rubber window guide and another photo of it's location on the left side of the vehicle. From looking at both the Maxamillion and Wallothnesch websites the rubber window guide is easy enough to find in the vehicle/trim/glasses section however I cannot seem to locate the plastic window guide.

The other part I was seeking assistance with a part number for is the rubber conduit that contains the door electrical wiring where the wiring runs from the door into the front column.

Any help would me most appreciated.

Thanks Jason

Can't help with the guide but the flexible rubber boot from the door to door pillar is part of the door wiring loom.

I remember someone once posted about replacing those cable rubbers.
He had made new ones based on rubber from a newer type of BMW.
Unfortunately I can no longer find it.

Thanks everyone - much appreciated re: the rubber wiring harness.

I think I have identified the correct part for the plastic window guide...it looks like it's 07 Covering inner left #51131843863 in the attached screenshot.

I ordered it at Maximillion yesterday as their website indicated it was still available however they have refunded the money as they have now indicate their website was incorrect and it's NLA. Anyway I'll keep searching ](*,)

sucks when that happens. Some websites are better than others keeping up with NLA parts.
