What is shadowline?

Dont know what this is but it comes up alot can someone explain and maybe show a picture. Thanks

shadowlining is blacking out of chrome trim, like the trim around the windows for example

There are 40 parts that are changed from chrome to satin black (not

including the bumpers) which are colour coded to the car.

as i know shadow line is an option from 1986 year:

Items to be changed from chrome to black:

Top and bottom strips on headlight grills --------------4

Front screen seal filler strips/joint pieces --------------4

Front and rear window channels ext.and int.-----------8

Side roof channels and rear joint pieces ---------------6

Rear screen seal filler strips/joint pieces ---------------6

Side body mouldings--------------------------------------8

Door handles-----------------------------------------------2

Rear light frames ------------------------------------------2

Total----40

Optional:Nose grills, headlight bezels and radio antenna.

Bumpers to be colour-coded.

Sorry for resurrecting this thread, but am I right in thinking that shadowline was only available from 1986 onwards?

Not in the Jan.'86 price list. First mentioned in the April '86 price list (£255.00).
