Need ECU ASAP!!!

Post by 603racing »

At least need one for testing, may need to purchase one. The Motronic box in my car has the last nine digits of 261 200 011.

If you have one you are willing to part with or willing to let me borrow please let me no as soon as possible. If I can borrow it I will pay shipping both ways. I need to load up the car Wednesday night in order to make the race, so we're talking about a very tight timeline.

I know some other ECU's will work, but I do not know which ones. This is for a 1983 635csi Euro with a 5 speed.

I've got the exact ecu you need but this one is not cheap. These are actually used on the 245 hp Alpina B9 as well so they are rare and coveted. Sorry but I am not in the business of loaning out parts so this will have to be a purchase. Let me know what you want to do.

ECU

Looks like the ECU in this car is not the original so I'm guessing I could use the 200 011 or the 200 059... I'm guessing.

The 059s are very common and can be had for $50 or less. They were mainly used on the US e24/e28 for several years but since your car is a euro it's very likely the 011 is original. The 011 I have came from an 84 euro e23.

No go on the 059. Might be able to use the 008 as it was basically the same unit but with o2 capability.

Don't take the list on Pelican for gospel: a lot of incomplete info there. The 011 was only used on a very small number of Alpina vehicles (B9 for 83 up to mid 84). This does not make it worth any more as it was more commonly found on the std BMW 3.5 during the same time period.

I do have a 011 that I can sell if needed.

Thanks, I have one on the way from Ralph. Thanks again Ralph for the rapid response and transit. It can be nearly impossible to find used parts here in STL.
