Thought to mention this: 4 seat rails is not gonna be enough to make manual e24 seats. You also gonna need seat bottom frame.
I have manual sport seats in my euro e28 and had to fix restore drivers seat. When i pulled it apart I was able to compare to e30 sport seat bottom frame. Unfortunatelly they dont interchange, so i had to fix mine.
Good luck finding parts.

If you have e30 sport seats, you gonna have to modify 2 legs in the front (e28 uses smaller diameter pins) to fit e28sport rails. Iirc rear mounting part is also different.
You could also find manual e30 rails (theyre cheap) and just run adapters. I remember someone was making them to fit e24/28.

Rusty is E30 sport passenger side
Clean is e28 oem sport driver side

Your pictures also show the difference in pre 9/85 and post 9/85. The e30 one you show is post and the e28 is pre.

Pre use the same pin, 52101906746, on e30,e24,e23
Post use the same pin, 52101919478, on e30,e28,e24,e23

Making them is out as I can buy another set of seats for what the machine shop quoted.

I just learned that there was pre and post 85 sport seats. Makes sense now.

They hold hands in the circle to channel the spirits of the past E24 owners so they can get questions that have been asked a million times answered
