Mine was missing, but the E36 ones are pretty much identical-looking!

Not too close at all. The triangle and base will be different and the triangles for the E24's come in a blue box with BMW clearly embossed on the case

Hi Mark.

As you probably know the warning triangles specific to the M635CSi are designed to fit neatly in the space on top of the battery in the boot. So if you want to be really authentic, you will need the right one.

I have sourced some of these, and other obscure bits for my M635 by keeping a frequent eye open on German eBay. They tend to pop up there more frequently than anywhere else, so you might want to try the same. Posting from Germany is pretty cheap, and most Germans seem happy to communicate in English. Having said that, I do also use Google Translate to ease the process.

Visit http://www.ebay.de
Enter "E24 Warndreieck" in the search field and see what comes up.

By the way, how's the restoration of your car coming along? Did you find the boot carpet pieces you were looking for?

It's blue, it has BMW embossed on the box and it fits in the tray: close enough for me!

I stand corrected. You are right and that is better than close enough

Mark, also try "eBay Kleinanzeigen" it is a similar setup to Gumtree in Germany.

Seems like the e36 blue triangle can be had for a tenner from ebay.co.uk ...

The e24 blue triangle can be had for more: http://www.ebay.de/itm/bmw02-M-6-coupe- ... SwfVpYuAbA

... is this the right one?
