Recently purchased a set of E21 recaro seats for my '85 635CSi. Looking for seat rails from an earlier E24(<84) or E28 that will work with the available recaro adapter brackets. Looking for rails in good working condition.
I'm not 100% why my '85 seat rails won't work but was told they won't. Perhaps others have had experience in this area and know of other options?
I'm located in north Texas.

Sounds like you are in need for comfort seat bases/rails from 533i or 633CSi before 1985.

@tschultz - yes I believe that is correct. Earlier 635CSi rails should work as well.

Re: FOUND - WTB Early E24/E28 Seat Rails
I have pre 83 manual Recarro seat bases and rails.Happy to give hole placement measurements One side is perfect, the driver's side is tweaked and the two plastic handles are shot one of which is available at the dealer for a few $$. they are just sitting in my garage and I am open to a fair and reasonable offer.

Re: FOUND - WTB Early E24/E28 Seat Rails
Here is an update on my Recarro seat installation. Purchased a set of seat adapters from Aardvark Racing https://www.2002parts.com/ and the original manual seat rails for my comfort seats worked just fine.
On a related note, the leather upholstery was done by Aardvark Racing and turned out very well.
