After the above for my 1986 628.

Be very very careful when removing these. I broke off one of the top metal tangs when doing so. I've tried to TIG weld it back together, but (unusually for BMW) the whole thing is made from quite poor quality cast alloy, making that almost impossible.

I'm in the UK but willing to look into buying from the US depending on the shipping cost- its quite a small part after all.

You can buy a new one from WN in Germany.
Just purchased two .
Quite reasonable.
