1979 euro 635 brakes

Post by ldc »

My rear brakes need rebuilding. I am wondering what my options are. It sounds like I need to stick with the original setup - Does anyone have any good used brake parts for sale? Maybe I should redo the whole system??? let me know if you have anything please.

Pelican has a brake rebuild kit that supposedly is for 1979 e24 - can anyone verify this - are they going to send me the later model brake stuff? who gets it right usually?

Thanks

Auto house AZ, who is very dependable, has the rebuild kits with all of the seals. It does not include the pistons . When I rebuilt mine, the pistons cleaned right up with some 1000 grit wet or dry sand paper. The seal kits are very inexpensive, and, again, Autohaus is very dependable. Any of the
suppliers the guys on here use should be fine.
