E24 / E23 ABS Pump/Valve Assembly

Hi All,

I need an ABS unit for my M635CSI restoration project. It uses the same pump as all the E24 series, as well as the E23. Anyone have a known good unit I can buy please? This is all that stands between me and getting the car back on the road.

Thanks,
Ian

I think it has a different part no. from the standard car. Will check mine tomorrow.

Thanks Ron!

According to Real OEM the part numbers are:

34511154995 superseding 34511150357

I have been offered a 'known good' e28 m535i ABS unit for £100 and on RealOEM the drawings appear identical but part number is different (34511155051, although this might be down to the cover) so I don't know if it will work.

Can these units be refurbished? I searched to see if I could find anyone but nothing concrete came up. As they are not available new, reconditioning mine would be the best option but if not I would try my luck on a second-hand unit, if I can find a good one. Obviously I can very easily remove the ABS unit and go non-ABS but I would rather keep the car as original as possible and I would probably have some work to ensure I don't get a warning light. This would be a last resort.

Cheers,
Ian

Hi Ian,

I think I've got one (somewhere!). Let me know if you are still looking?

Thanks Chaps, much appreciated.
However, I managed to find a breaker with an E23 which uses the same 008 Bosch unit. £60 quid later a very good condition ABS unit was in my workshop. This evening I gave it a thorough scrub, flushed it through with fresh DOT4 and cleaned all the electrical connectors and it looks as good as new! An hour after that it is sitting in the car, all plumbed up, ready for system bleeding and ABS pump run / valve cycling but I had to stop as it is getting late...
