Looking for "belly pan" or PN#

Post by Rondel Fan »

Hi,
just looking to add some missing bits and my 86 seems to be missing this belly pan. I could not find it on real oem under body, trim or chassis. I definitely have two mounting points in front of the steering rack for something like this though I don't immediately see how it mounts to the valence.
thx
Mike

I found it, #4 and another, # 9 as well also called an air deflector. I really have NO idea how #9 attaches.

Part #9 attaches with two self tapping screws into tinnerman nut plates. You can see the two holes in the picture. It's also attached to the bottom of the plastic undertray by a short piece of metal and self tapping screw. I think the "air deflector" is only used on cars without an engine oil cooler.

I think I have a deflector coming care of brickwhite. I do not have an oil cooler that I know of so looking forward the the pan. That said I still can not conceptualize how part #9 might mount or if I need it. (Or the #1air dams either" Any pictures welcome.

It is listed for an 86, you're just in the wrong section. It is under "vehicle Trim", last item set

Hi should a RHD M635 have this ?

There are a couple of studs below the radiator cross member - wondering why they might be there (appear to have not been used - as still painted). Regards Julian

They are for mounting clips for the automatic gearbox oil cooling pipes on a non-M 635.

They are ALWAYS rustier than you thought!!!!!!
