So only E28 based euros it would seem?

Are you looking to restore a car or have more of an already finished vehicle?

To bad, I'm going to be bringing this 1980 to market soon.

Yes, only e28 based, but no 88-89 world bumper cars.

Hi Rob,
I just resent.

1985 BMW 635CSi Euro : Cosmos Blue located in Fort Worth TX
Odometer - 215,000 KM (~134,000 Miles)
Close Ratio Gear Box , dogleg.

Interior/Cosmetic:
• Odometer was replaced with one out of a Canadian car and refurbished by Bavarian Restoration. New gears and a pot installed for tuning the speedometer for accuracy. They also printed a new face that looks like the original except that it has an additional mph scale. The Euro models didn't come with mph on the speedo...only kmh. I still have the original face as well as the original mph unit. Bavarian Restoration also ran the odometer up to match actual reading on the car. It is pretty close to the actual mileage on the car now.
• Black Leather BMW Recaro seats out of an E21. Seat covers by David Varco 2002parts.com. Foam replaced and frame refurbished. I keep them under sheep skin covers.
• Custom Programma SI Instrument Cluster Circuit board eliminates battery that supply service indicator lights.
• LED Dash lights.
• USB outlets installed.
• All speakers replaced and new period looking radio with Bluetooth installed.
• Coco mats
• New leather wrapped steering wheel and horn button. Original look.
• New turn signal switch/stalk.
• New leather wrapped shift knob. Not OEM since those are NLA.
• I had a PDR guy go over the car and remove a few door dings. The original pin stripping was in bad shape when I got the car so I removed it.
• This is a no rust, no paint bubbles car. Undercarriage is pretty clean.

Engine/Mechanical:
• Rebuild AC system. Converted to R134. Replaced AC hoses to the original compressor. System has held its charge for a couple of years now so it is in great shape. Removed and refurbished the OEM condenser to like new condition. Replaced AC fan speed control unit.
• Complete Brake system gone through including new bomb, master cylinder, rotors, ceramic pads and fluid.
• Rebuild of gear shift assembly with all new old stock parts (bushings etc.)
• Resealed transmission.
• New clutch and rear main seal.
• Replaced the external fuel pump.
• Replaced all engine vacuum hoses with silicon hoses. Very tight vacuum system …idles @ ~650 rpm as a result.
• Cleaned and resealed AFM.
• Replaced fuel injectors with 4 hole rebuilt and flow balanced injectors.
• Rebuilt the engine harness by removing old plugs and installing new ones where the old ones had become brittle.
• New Red top Optima battery.
• New plugs, wires, rotor & cap.
• New old stock negative battery ground cable.. that was hard to find.
• New Hela H1 high beam lights. Work great.
• New Hela Bifocal H1 Low beam lights. These work fantastic as they are units designed specifically for H1 low beam duty. Brings the lights up to modern standards in my opinion.
• New outside temp sensor.
• New old stock French fog lights with the yellow background. They have a clear film on them for protection. New fog light surround frames.
• Replaced the sunroof seal.

Suspension:

• Replaced the upper control arms with upgraded aluminum ones and heavy-duty bushings. Steering feel was significantly improved when this was done.
• Replaced the lower control arms and sway bar bushings and rear dog bones.
• Wheels are refurbished Rial Mesh 16” with ~2 year old rubber.
• I have not replaced the Bilstien shocks as they are still in good condition.

The Bad:

• Dash is cracked.
• There are a few paint chips from wear and tear. I have touched them up with a touch up brush. I’ve captured all of them in the photo album below. The worst is on the driver’s door.
• I think the rear deck lid may have been repainted at some point early in the cars life. It was done to a very high standard but the badge was installed a couple inches to the left of where it normally would have been from the factory.

My '85 E24 has sold. Enjoyed all five years of ownership. Good times driving and working under the hood.
