Hi

I'm looking for an exterior sunroof panel for a 1987 635CSI. The sunroof is electronically operated and I just need to roof panel.

I seem to recall that there was a change that year? Make sure you get the correct one (if you're lucky enough to find one!)

I have one from our 1981 that I'll sell cheap. I looked at RealOEM, and all the other roof parts update and backdate, but it does not show the sliding panel. Go figure. So, I am not sure if it fits or not, but I would love for it to be put to good use. Make me an offer.

Also, it's heavy. It'll be expensive to ship.

I'll check with my local BMW dealership as to whether a 1981 sunroof will fit a 1987 car and get back to you.

It wont.........I have the updated Sunroof here in Toronto from a 1987 6 series.

Thanks for your help with the the right model year for the sunroof. You've confirmed what the local dealer advised it had to be a car from Sept 1986 onwards.

I'm also look at a California option which may be easier for shipping.

If you all are still looking for an 87 sunroof panel I think I have one in my parts stash. It will need painted and it may have some light hail damage -- but it would be cheap! DM or email me for details and I'll see if I can find it.
