Please excuse my ignorance, but what exactly is a "Euro bumper"?

For what it's worth, I have two spare front and a spare rear as fitted to a 1988 Highline.

It would be nice to provide him with a visual aid, i.e. a photo of each type on a car. Surely there is somewhere on the forums that has such comparison, but I'll be switched if I can find it.
