steering column

Post by peter Coomaraswamy »

40.00 plus shipping, I don't have much hope in selling this because if you need one of these your car is really jacked up but the switches might be worth something and maybe someone does not have a telescoping column?

Look into greyhound bus shipping the big items. From memory it can't be any longer than 84" I think, so the spoiler and fenders would be good.

Finishing up the part out

Post by peter Coomaraswamy »

Well, I will share this with you folks, all of whom have been really great to work with but if you ever decide to part out a car... don't :-) I have a lift, fork trucks, and a complete shipping department in my company warehouse and it was a real mess, now I have a shell of a car that no one will come and get- even though I have a title and I can lift it onto a flatbed. What I found out- from an e9 perspective is that interchangeability does not necessarily mean optimal upgrade, for example the diff is a 307 open, not LSD, the head was milled at least once, making it unusable for my project and as you can see from my earlier posts the shipping charges are often more than the parts are worth. With that in mind I want to offer the pictures below as a final-fire sale. Please I am not auctioning- just name a price and I'll do what I can to get you the parts. I apologize to those to whom I have offered parts and been late in delivery. One gentleman wanted the rear rubber bumper ends and the PO welded the rear bumper on so I can't figure out how to get them off. The only thing I show in the pictures that is/are not available are the brake calipers. Thanks to you all, and when it comes time for me to get a "Big Coupe" I will seek out one that is 100% ready to roll, these things are quite complicated and make working on an e9 seem like playing with LEGO's.

I'll take the pedal set unless someone else recognizes the need for one. Hopefully an early series 1 owner wanting to do a 5-speed swap will see this and buy it from you soon. Just don't throw it away please. Let it sit for a couple of weeks and then we can discuss if it's still available. Thanks Peter.
