Various parts from 4/83 635 manual

Post by wattsmonkey »

Chassis # 8175184, utterly rotten apart from some peculiar survivors! Was prepped for paint then left under a tarpaulin since, so bare metal and filler left to their own devices with predictable results.

Bought for spare box and flywheel for my M, as well as medium case LSD for a mate's project car, so other bits up for grabs.

Engine £500. This is an early motronic engine, so has brown injectors and the push-on rotor arm. Has had new cam and (proper BMW) rockers with paperwork from dealer back in 2003. Oil and antifreeze a nice golden colour and a nice bright blue respectively. Sold without inlet manifold, starter and alternator, but open to persuasion.

011 ECU £250. Tested for injector pulse and spark. Has been rebuilt, as per sticker. Very rare indeed, apparently.

AFM being tested.

Coarse spline "sports" wheel (the ugly one) £50

M-tec coarse spline wheel, pics to follow £150

Various other bits, including a complete BMW exhaust in excellent condition (was stored inside, off car), tropical spec aircon with massive condenser (no gas in system, but all appears sound) very good sunroof panel, various pearl beige trim pieces, decent black mats, power steering/bomb incl. pipework, rear seats good, front comforts okay, radiator good, heater matrix

I will have a pretty much complete manual conversion kit using the pedals and clutch hydraulics from the above to include 260 box and matching prop, only lacking the shift linkage (I have the gearstick itself, but not the upper and lower shift arms) if anyone's thinking of doing the decent thing and getting rid of the auto wrongness.

Cheers,

Rob

I don't know if you still have it, but can I get the part number off of one of your brown injectors? Is it -130?

If you are looking for the BOSCH# It is 0280150130. I have (had) them in my '84 euro. You can substitute 0280150126. Identical

Hi, I am looking for a electrical motor for drivers side, front window, in good working order.
Mine is the 1983 version, with no lead coming from the motor, just a 2 pin plug in terminal.

Let me know if you have anything that suits.
(I will also need postage to Ireland or Northern Ireland)

thanks, MM.

Do you happen to have the manual gearbox still for sale? I'm looking to do a manual conversion on my 6 so if you have the gearbox, pedalbox, flywheel, propshaft, slave & master cylinders and gearbox mount that would be very helpful and I would be interested in buying the whole lot. im also looking for the toolkit in the boot, a working cluster, an electric Ariel, and an original stereo if you have it.

Hi MM,

I do indeed have a working driver's electric window motor, from an '83 628. I'll dig it out and PM you.

Cheers,

Hi Tayse24,

Gearbox not for sale I'm afraid: being kept as a spare in case the 280 ever goes bang!

Tim, in Northampton, has usually got kits for sale. I'll PM you his details.

Other bits mentioned kaput/missing I'm afraid.

Cheers,

Rob

Sorry David,

Non-ugly wheel gone!

Ugly one will doubtless be hanging around for a very long time,
