M635csi #508 SOLD

Post by paulwchandlersford »

Just a quick note from me to say my M635csi - G121UHV #508 sold, the new owner is driving it back to Norwich today, it has been a great (but expensive) car to keep but we part of a high note as it is probably one of the best looking cars I've ever owned and will fondly remember it.

For those keeping tabs on prices it sold for the full £35k asking price to a genuine collector who I have no doubt will keep it to the same standard that I and M6Chris took it to. I got most of my money back which was always helpful. Car & Classic was where it sold - the previous 2 x adverts on ebay was full of window shoppers and time wasters.

I've hoarded a fair few spares which i'll sort through, i'll post them on here before going to open market with them.
Thanks for the info help i've had via here.

Well done on the sale Paul. Glad you made most of your money back. That must be one of the highest prices for a private sale car.

Do you mind me asking what the mileage and general condition of the car was?

Congrats on the sale. Maybe I missed it, was there a link to the ad or pics etc. I would like to see the car. Cheers

Here is the link to the 2nd ebay advert, I can't seem to find a link to the car & classic advert,

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/182483049552? ... 1562.l2649

Condition was a good 9-10, mileage 145k, there was very little i could have improved on, if i was really fussy I would have found a functioning headlamp wash/wipe system and reinstated it, the spare wheel didn't have a new tyre, the factory genuine mats were ok but not new. Rest of it was virtually as new.

I had 3 good enquiries on the first day of the Car & Classic advert and several after it sold too.

Something to do with the crank hub IIRC.

To think, I almost bought that car for GBP17K. Only the idiotic Australian import laws (it was 1 month newer than the Jan '89 import rule) prevented the sale
