Been watching that one, and it's a beauty. What color is it, though? Not henna, and it's not zinno, either. Build sheet indicates an "individual" color.

Hard to tell sometimes in a photo, but if so, why wouldn't it have the standard color badge? The description also mentions some peeling clear coat on the original paint, but henna didn't have a clear coat. In any case, it's a very nice car, and I hope it brings a price reflecting that.

This is the twin of my old car - which I, unfortunately, sold about 2.5 years ago w/43K! It was a beauty!

Paint tag indicates "Sonderlackierung" - German for "special lacquer". This car, like mine, was manufactured several months after the factory stopped painting e24s hennarot in the course of normal production. This was a special order from the factory. Pretty cool.

Hennarot was, of course, single stage, so if this car has some peeling clear coat, its had some paint work in its past.

Good luck to the seller.

I absolutely love Henna as a colour on these cars - a subtle nod to the seventies orange CS colour I think!

What a beautiful car this is.

I too am an admirer of this car.

More info and images can be found on this thread....

There was a great video on youtube featuring this M635, a US E24 M6 and a contemporary M6. Coincidentally (and mysteriously) it seems to have been taken off....
